On the 8th of March 2013, nearly 100 PHBF supporters attended the very successful launch event which was held at Rigby’s Bar in Perth. Thanks to the incredible generosity of all the sponsors and donors, a massive $40,000.00 was raised on the night! Added to the generous donations already received, this puts the total at just $25,000.00 short of their $100,000.00 target!
On 28th March 2013, Crawford Property Groups very own CEO, Ryan Crawford and Sales representative, Matthew Hughes, along with their Crawford Property Group sponsored team members Andy Everley, Peter Hughes, Graziano Lisciotto and Matt Golinski, took part in the gruelling WA Cape2Cape challenge. The run was completed over three days, starting at Cape Leeuwin (Augusta) and finishing 137km away in Cape Naturaliste (Dunsborough), with runners braving deep sand, rough terrain, hills and rock climbing as they endeavoured to complete well over a marathon per day!
The challenge was to promote the awareness of the Peter Hughes BURN Foundation (PHBF) throughout the South West region of WA and was a personal and physical challenge for the Crawford Property Group Sponsored runners. Funds raised will help the PHBF deliver it’s programs nationally for the 2013 year.
The PHBF is an Australian, not-for-profit, registered charity, that exists to meet the needs of burns survivors and their families in times of trauma, to offer support in the ongoing processes of physical and emotional recovery from burns injuries and to provide its members with experiences that develop and strengthen their physical, emotional, psychological and social resilience.
Thanks to everyone who donated towards this very worthy cause! Your support and generosity will go a long way to helping burn survivors across Australia!
